Every month, the Deep Luteal (aka PMS) Inner Critic illuminates what you may have glossed over in high-flying Ovulation. The Inner Critic is the Truth Teller, she’s not sugar coating or messing around. She is looking out for you and has your best interest at heart….but she seems kinda mean sometimes.
What I found while sitting in the rawness of my Deep Luteal Phase is that the voice of the Inner Critic is actually the amplification of painful, limiting beliefs - unconscious resistance to my own desires brought to light. That is empowering information because when you realize that these things are being brought up to get your attention - that they are coming up to be released, that this is FOR you - this monthly experience can feel much more empowering.
Become aware of what patterns are appearing each month, what areas of your life keep driving you crazy? The Inner Critic is just like bodily ailments; she’ll start with a whisper and if she is not acknowledged, she will begin to yell.
The most difficult part of the Deep Luteal Phase is the increased awareness of what isn’t working, without the immediate clarity of what to do about it. Urgency for a solution without full surrender only increases the tension. That’s why the authors of Wild Power call it, “holding the tension.” This is a case of, ‘you can’t find the solution through the lens of the problem.’ You CAN get ahead of it by becoming more aware of what is going on in your life, by getting really clear about what you do want and knowing what is ready to be released - by getting intentional in The Manifesting with the Moon Course.
Intention-setting helps release limiting beliefs
Get ahead of your Inner Critic by getting intentional. Intention-setting illuminates your resistance to all that you desire, these are the (conscious or unconscious) limiting beliefs that your Inner Critic is hinting at when she says things like, "Who do you think you are to dream so big? Are you an idiot for thinking this was all just going to 'work out?'" These old fears need some more weeding out. The Inner Critic lovingly illuminates that they are still there so that you can get to the root of them once and for all.

Q. When is the best time in my Menstrual Cycle to create an intention?
A. Deep Luteal can be a great time for Step 1, and your Dump List - when you're pretty darn clear about what you don't want. Follicular and Ovulation can enhance your confidence to dream really big in Step 2.
