Get inspired (filled by spirit) for an affluent (in the flow) life.
These are principles derived from the Truth of love and abundance. A large part of this practice is unlearning limiting beliefs and reconnecting to your inherent worth, get ready to say goodbye to scarcity and the hustle!
It is important to reconnect to the origin, original energy, of these words and feel empowered by their true meaning.
Inspired Middle English, from Old French inspirer, from Latin inspirare "breathe or blow into" from in - "into" and spirare "breathe." The word was originally used to describe a divine or supernatural being "imparting a truth or idea to someone." Breath is the most accessible way to connect to affluence. When you consciously or unconsciously lift the muscles up off your lungs, an abundance of ever-present Oxygen rushes in. It is always waiting to be invited, for the resistance to be removed. It does not need to be pulled or drawn but simply allowed. Most of the time, our breath is coming and going - nurturing us - without any conscious thought! That is how loved, supported, affluent and abundant life is!
Affluent Late Middle English via Old French from the Latin word affluent, meaning "flowing towards, flowing freely," from the verb affluere - ad meaning 'to" and fluere 'to flow.' When describing people, 'having a great deal of money; wealthy.' When describing nature, 'flowing freely or in great quantity (like water).'
We are nature, we are part of this natural world, that is why learning how to flow is essential in intentional living. Becoming aware of what feels good to you is the key to finding your very own path of least resistance. Tuning into your inner (Menstrual) and outer (Seasonal and Lunar) rhythms is a huge part of this practice, it will help you align with all that you desire. Here's why a Financial Intention works...To live an intentional life, you have to let go of HOW and WHEN things manifest. This can prove stressful and feel quite impossible when bills are due on certain dates. Fearful, limiting beliefs and urgency - while seemingly practical and responsible - actually push abundance away. For this reason, author and speaker, Elizabeth Gilbert, advises people not to quit their day job - that leap of faith can actually create MORE fear and urgency instead of liberation and freedom. The keys to affluence and the life of your dreams are to create a Financial Intention, find YOUR path of least resistance and clear out the limiting beliefs that block your flow without attachment to HOW or WHEN it manifests. This blog is intended to be an overview and introduction to a very active, daily practice.
Finances usually carry a lot of resistance in the form of limiting beliefs and urgency. With the worries of survival taken care of by your Financial Intention - you can focus on what really lights you up!
Creating a Financial Intention removes resistance and allows abundance to flow. The added bonus is that you to get clear about what you'd really love to do instead of what you think you HAVE to do to survive.
No more trying to figure out how many classes a week you need to teach or how many books you need to sell to make the money you want. That is controlling the HOW, it is an uninspired search for a rational means to an end. Abundance may flow through your passions - of course it can, you welcome abundance from all avenues - but you don't want the fear-based pressure solely on them. If you're feeling a lack of abundance and support, do the work to align with your Financial Intention instead of finagling HOW to make your passions carry the weight. Financial abundance, an affluent life, is about alignment and vibration, not hard work or hustle. Yes, you will receive inspired action to follow - your life will feel fun and fulfilling - and that is because you are removing resistance and aligning with your desires instead trying to figure out HOW to get other's approval. If your work is fueled by people pleasing, on figuring out HOW to make money to survive...where do your unique skills get to shine? People pleasing is the epitome of giving your power away and nothing feels more disempowering than hoping someone likes you enough to invest in your work. If you've ever wished you could "fire" a difficult client, one who is more work than reward, you know what I'm talking about. Do you want that freedom?! I definitely did, and had no idea HOW I could live that audaciously until I learned about intention-setting and creating a separate Financial Intention. Free from scarcity and fear, you will begin to unleash your True Self. You will feel the confidence to consider what your mind, body and soul deeply desire. From that aligned place, your greatest gifts will shine. Let your vibe be your marketing. When you're offering a product or your service from your heart, you're most likely doing it because it is fun and you enjoy it. Pause now and feel how much you love doing what you want, feel that feeling in every cell of your body. From that high-vibe place, you may receive inspiration on how to share what you're creating or offering with the world. Only follow inspired action in marketing yourself or when applying to jobs - no stressful, boring 'shoulds' here. Practice feeling that feeling throughout your day and watch people and opportunities that match your vibe appear without any effort! When you love what you do and trust that you are supported, you vibrate on that level. You radiate love, fun, abundance and support. Wouldn't you want to work with you? What is your relationship with money like?
We all have a different relationship with money based on our upbringing and culture. Any limiting beliefs you have picked up about money will affect your ability to live the life of your dreams. Do these client's examples sound familiar? What is your unique story?
"Growing up, success was seen as a bad thing because my dad was a very successful but violent person who left my mom with us kids. I would work hard to do well in school or create something and my mom would chastise me for 'being like my father.' I began to see that success meant the loss of love and approval from my loved ones. To this day I'm still worried about doing anything well."
â"My mom was a single mom and always wanted the best for me and my future. Anytime I created something, she'd say, "Let's market it!" I think I subconsciously felt like our meal ticket to financial freedom. Now, I find it hard to have fun and serve from my heart because I'm always calculating how much I could make off of any talent I have. I'm always doing the math of how many tutorials/paintings/etc. I could hope to sell per week, month and year to calculate my survival. I've begun to only make things that I hope will make money instead of allowing inspiration to flow." "I was raised to be a strong, supportive man who pays the bills and takes care of everyone. I've pushed down any idea that I could leave my steady, corporate job to do what makes me happy because being who I am would let those around me down." The importance of creating and embodying a Financial IntentionCreating a Financial Intention

Step 1: What is not working? What is pissing you off? What needs to change? Sometimes the fastest route to figuring out what you want is to get really clear about what you don't want. This is usually a description of what is currently happening. Step 2: In an ideal world where nobody can say no and money is no object, what do you want? Go big, step into full, playful audacity here with no parameters of practicality. Imagine that it is a year or two from now and you're telling your mot trusted friend about how the intention is happening exactly they way you WANT it to happen. Now write it all out using positive, present-tense language. Be as general or as specific as you need. Step 3: What does it feel like? Think about ways in which you expect and hope and want to feel when the intention is being realized. When you know how your manifestations FEELS, you can better feel your way to it by following your intuition. Step 4: Why? Why is this intention important to you? There might be a "ripple effect" to others but the most important factor is why this is important to you, why this feels undeniable to your soul. Step 5: The Dump List. List all the inner critic thoughts and limiting beliefs about how this could not possibly manifest. Write all the 'Yeah but,' 'This could never,' 'No one I know...' thoughts and feelings that come up in this process. These are the powerful limiting beliefs that will inhibit your manifestation. This can feel icky, I know. Unload it all here honestly and know that it's all coming up to be moved out. Here's an example of what you may find on your Dump List, "I can't just do what I want and be happy." This feels like a fact but it is the limiting belief creating your reality. Q. Do you have one Financial Intention in general or do you set a Financial Intention for each project you put out into the world. A. You may have many intentions for all kinds of things like your dream home, a romantic partner, your career, health, etc. but you will only have one Financial Intention that covers all areas of your life. A Financial Intention doesn't care where the affluence is flowing in from, it can flow in through the many streams in your life. The goal is to remove the financial pressure from your projects so that you can serve authentically, doing only what feels good. Q. When creating my intention, should it be long and detailed or short and precise? A. The perfect intention is the one that feels good to you. An intention will evolve as you do - with growing awareness, you may find wording that you're ready to change and start to dream even bigger! I've had long paragraphs at times and bullet points at others. The most important part is the daily practice of releasing limiting beliefs and embodiment. Long or short, I like to keep one or two main sentences fresh in my mind to turn to when I start to worry. Here are a few of my absolute favorite statement from my Financial Intention...
"The less I work, the more money I make."
"I do what I want, when I want and the perfect people always find me." â"Everything I do and offer is out of LOVE, I show up as a being of LOVE."
These statements are exactly why I always sell more malas and connect with more people while I'm traveling, out playing, feeling good and following inspiration!
Lots of love, Christina
