Intention-setting, the key to manifesting your desires!
What do you want? Get ready to GUSH about all the goodness you desire! For THAT is the path forward and how you will illuminate what to release along the way.
Use this practice to set intentions with the Waxing Moon or in the Follicular Phase of your Menstrual Cycle and readjust as you expand.
This is an on-going, non-linear practice that will evolve each month. More may be illuminated as you begin to look deeper at what you really want and what blocks its manifestation.
Follow these steps for each new intention you set. Often, by raising your vibration and releasing blocks with one intention, you open new doors for another. "A rising tide lifts all boats."

Name your intention
Common intention names are 'Relationship Intention,' 'Financial Intention,' 'Dream Home Intention,' etc. but please make this as YOU as possible. I recently named an intention, 'What feels fun to share with the world, from my heart, in my unique voice Intention.' Follow this guide but make it your own.
Step 1. What isn't working?
What is pissing you off? What needs to change? Sometimes the fastest route to figuring out what you want is to get really clear about what you don’t want. You may not need this step each time but it can be a great catalyst for clarity in Step 2.
Dream Home Example: I'm so sick of the noise and pollution in the city. I hate paying rent and not feeling like I have a home that is truly my own. I feel so disempowered and ungrounded.
Step 2. What do you want?
In an ideal world where nobody can say no and money is no object, what do you want? Go big, step into full, playful audacity here with no parameters of practicality. Imagine that it is a year or two from now and you’re telling a dear friend about how the intention is happening exactly how you WANT it to happen. You're GUSHING about how everything you desire now has manifested. Now write it all out using positive, present-tense language. Be as general or as specific as you need.
If you are intending for any type of relationship, focus only on how you feel in the interactions. You cannot intend for other people.
Example: I feel deeply desired. I am wildly attracted to my partner.
Remember, the visions and dreams you hold for your future are real, you are supported. Your intuitive insights are entrusted to you, follow them, claim them.
Dream Home Example: I am living in my dream home on 80 acres of land with mountain views and the sound of a nearby running stream. I love the peace and grounding I feel surrounded by nature in my dream home. My house is made out of the highest quality and most planet friendly materials. I utilize solar power and a rain catchment to live off the grid. It is easy to get to and from my property in my electric, four-wheel drive car.
Step 3. What does it feel like?
Imagine that your desires are fully manifested, how do you feel? List all the feeling words and weave them into your Step 2 positive, present-tense statements. There is an extensive list of feeling words in The FREE Manifesting with the Moon Guide for inspiration.
Dream Home Example: I feel deeply peaceful and grounded surrounded by nature. My body feels vibrant, healthy and aligned living with the sunrise and sunset. I am in awe every time I watch the moon rise and humbled by the amount of stars I see in the sky. I feel so much love and inspiration flowing through me every day at the incredible home that I have built in the perfect location. My shoulders are soft, my stomach is at ease, my breath is deep and slow.
Step 4. Why is this manifestation important to you?
The sacred 'Why?' What is your motivation? Why is this intention important to you? How does it benefit you or others? What might be the “ripple effects” once this intention is being realized? How far and to whom and to what do benefits extend?
Find the real intention by asking yourself, "Why do I want what I want? What is the why, of my why, of my why?"
Dream Home Example: I am most inspired when in nature. I am surrounded by beauty and flow, it is magnified within me! I am also passionate about being kind to Mother nature and living in harmony with the planet.
Please note that "...because I want it," "...because the thought of it excites me," "...because it just feels better to think this way" are all perfectly valid reasons why. Your intentions do not need to benefit anyone other than you.
You WILL end up affecting those around you though...your happiness is a mirror to all of us and uplifts us all.
Step 5. The Dump List
The Dump List is something you can curate as you move through Steps 1-4. List all the inner critic thoughts and limiting beliefs about how this could not possibly manifest. Write all the ‘Yeah but...’ ‘This could never...’ and ‘No one I know…’ thoughts and feelings that come up in this process. This is the resistance that will inhibit your manifestation.
This can feel icky, I know. Unload it and know that’s it’s all coming up to be moved out.
Dream Home Example: I don't know how to find land, I can't afford what I want, these kind of lavish dreams are for other people, who am I to dream so big? etc.
The My Moon Magic Manifesting with the Moon guide suggestions that you pick one Dump List item or an overall theme to release on the Last Quarter phase of the Moon. Sometimes just realizing that these limiting beliefs exist is enough to laugh at and move on. Other times, it is helpful to use visualization tools, EFT/"Tapping" and therapy to let them go. The Work by Byron Katie is also incredible for questioning a thought. There are so many resources, find what works best for you.
A kind word and some compassion from someone who continues to discover incredibly embarrassing and sneaky limiting beliefs myself...
It can feel disempowering to admit that you think these things - but once you realize that you have created the blocks, you are empowered to release them. Even though I'm a super "growth oriented" and "self aware" person, I'm blown away every time I discover a deeper layer of resistance that has been running the show.
This is a non-linear process and you've spent many years strengthening your limiting beliefs. This is a great period of transformation, be gentle with yourself.
What you must know about intention-setting.
1. The Universe works in a non-linear flow which means that you've got to let go of How or When your intention manifests.
Bad news: Intention-setting does not work well with urgency.
Great news: Things always work out better than expected and you can focus on releasing your Dump List resistance instead of rushing, judging or controlling the manifestation.
I know all too well the reality of having a bill due and needing my Financial Intention to show up ASAP...but it doesn't always work that way.
Sometimes it does! When you ask, it IS given. You CAN be, do and have all that you desire right this moment. Manifestations depend on your focus, level of limiting beliefs and resistance.
To release resistance and allow for the most creative universal magic, letting go of HOW and WHEN it all shows up is essential. Stay focused on what you desire despite what is in front of you. Complete your intentions with, "This or something better," and remember the three answers the Universe will always give you: "Yes," "Not Yet" and "I've got something better."
2. Daily gratitude and embodiment are essential to manifesting your desires.
Gratitude raises your vibration and raising your vibration will always works.
If everything is energy and the Law of Attraction is always on, what you choose to focus on will manifest - make intentional living a daily practice. You're thinking 90,000 thoughts each day, 90% of them are the same as yesterday. Start consciously choosing what you think and talk about, turn your intentional components into your daily mantra.
With your new intention, continually recognize and release limiting beliefs. As you read it each day, feel for where you doubt it and ask yourself what you are believing. That's new Dump List material!
As you read your intention each day, pick a line and daydream more about it. Feel yourself
experiencing the manifestation and all its exciting details. The daily embodiment is so important that an entire session in The Manifesting with the Moon Course is dedicated to how this practice integrates into your life.
Lastly, magnify every little bit that shows up along the way by gushing to a trusted friend or your journal! These are breadcrumbs on the trail, leading you on a non-linear, magical journey towards your desires. Happy manifesting!
